Bereavement Services

In some cases, grief can become debilitating. You may experience emotions that make you feel you are “losing your mind,” or you may just need someone to talk to at that moment. All grief—regardless of degree—is normal, and everyone should have access to support during their time of need.

Regional Hospice utilizes a team approach to support our families in their time of loss, and our staff members are available to you and your family in whatever way possible. Our agency will offer to follow most families for thirteen months.

Regional Hospice has services that can help when grief becomes too difficult to manage alone. We provide services to meet your individual and family needs, including:

  • Spiritual needs
  • Grief Counseling
  • Personal bereavement follow-up visits
  • Bereavement support by way of correspondence and bereavement materials
  • Referrals to other community services

Bereavement services are provided regardless of age, sex, race, disability, or religion. Our support system is offered by means of monthly grief literature, phone calls, and in-person household visits.

Bereavement luncheons are also provided quarterly by Regional Hospice to help facilitate communication regarding the grieving process. The luncheon also provides the opportunity to network or connect with others who have experienced a loss.

Referrals to other agencies and services are also available for physical or material needs.
