Who Is Eligible

Hospice is for anyone with a life-threatening or terminal illness. For many insurers, as well as Medicare and Medicaid, this requires a prognosis of six months or less. These are individuals who are no longer a candidate for or have declined additional curative measures. Services are provided without discrimination. Diagnoses commonly associated with hospice care include:

  • Liver/Renal disease
  • Cancer
  • AIDS/HIV
  • Neurological disease
  • Stroke or Coma
  • Pulmonary disease
